Teaching: The Noblest of all Professions:
Teaching is all about passion to see people grow and develop into their full potential. Teaching requires extreme patience, as the process is tedious and requires some very heavy lifting. Children come in all ranges of character and habits, and to manage the spectrum requires skill sets that make a teacher the best or the worst. A thoroughly trained and equipped teacher will go a long way in positively influencing the ward towards learning.
Early Childhood Education:
The administering of education for the first time in the life of a human being and for the first three to six years is called Early Childhood Education. This is to be done by specially trained teachers, as the work differs greatly from teaching older children. The teacher is trained to approach the process in a very holistic way so that the emotions, intellect and the inbuilt creativity and curiosity is fanned into flames such the child continues the explorative journey of lifelong learning.
Why we need good Nursery and Preschool Teachers?
A good preschool teacher will be one who leads the child for the very first time into the area of learning and to experience the joy of gaining knowledge and developing their basic IQ. If this process is not done well, the child develops a dislike for school and learning and eventually holds distaste for the learning-studying experience. A well-trained preschool teacher is equipped to make this process fun and exciting for the child from the very beginning and lays the foundations for a joyful teaching-learning experience. Every child is inbuilt with the gift of curiosity, and it is an art and a science to feed this curiosity such that this is fanned into a flame and to a thirst and hunger for knowledge of the environment and possibilities.
The danger of Ill- Equipped Nursery / Preschool Teachers
Unfortunately, a non-passionate, ill equipped preschool teacher can cause severe damage to this gift within the child by killing natural curiosity that is embedded in the child. This is done by improperly passing on the knowledge in a way that is formal and passive that is a killjoy for the child. The ill-equipped preschool educator can destroy the future of the child by making the child believe that acquiring knowledge is a painful and difficult-to-achieve process causing the child to be averse to the learning-teaching environment.

This team is led by Dr. Ann George, a highly qualified and experienced educator, who is extremely passionate about children and early childhood education. The courses are tailormade to skill the teachers to engage the children from a multi-sensory dimension. The teachers are trained to plan each class and to choose the right tools /manipulatives to best engage the child’s curiosity and help the child to understand concepts through play rather than memorization of content through rote learning. The teachers are also trained to engage the child not just from an intellectual angle but also from an emotional perspective to better foster the learning experience for the child. One of the best courses in the institute is the Phonics training to help children read. Here the focus is to help the teachers learn the simplest and easiest methods to get the child to read with ease and making it possible for the child to do this eventually independently creating in the child the desire and the habit of reading which opens the avenue for the child to explore the whole wide world through books. This goes a long way in the learning process for the child and becomes a lifelong strength. Teachers are also trained in the management skills of starting and running a preschool and daycare playschool business.
The Multi-Sensory Emotional Cognitive Approach
National Teachers Training Academy has adopted a unique approach to Early Childhood Education that has been developed by Dr. Ann George who is qualified as a Family Life Educator. Here the learning process is augmented by classroom teaching techniques where the child is engaged with learning through multiple senses so that the child can grasp the concept rather than learning by memorization especially supporting the learning of math concepts through play, since math is usually the tougher subject for all students. The teachers are also trained in child psychology so that they can engage the feelings of the children to leverage their attention to the classroom sessions so that the intellectual learning process is augmented appropriately. Teachers are trained to engage the child at the emotional level so that the child’s tantrums and fussy behaviors are handled well.
PRACTICAL LIVE SESSIONS
The National Teachers Training Academy in technical collaboration with Care Bears Academy provides hands on practical sessions where the new trainee can witness live the classes being taken by experts. Young children, less than 6 to 8 years old, are not easy to manage. Class management, discipline, student engagement, engaging multiple senses of the child by using manipulatives, use of multi-media including videos, working with the courseware, and handling behavior and emotional challenges in the classroom can be learned firsthand if the trainee is with us at the center.
ONLINE LIVE TRAINING SESSIONS:
National Teachers Training Academy provide online training for those who are not able to attend the LIVE physical sessions at the center. These online sessions can be augmented by attending practical sessions in the weekends or those out of station can fly in and spend a week or two at the center for practical sessions.
Course details
A one-year diploma program in Early Childhood Education offered by NCERT, Delhi, for which coaching is provided by this institute. Exam center will be in Bangalore itself.
Certificate program in Phonics. Unlike the common online phonics training programs where you need to have some knowledge of phonics before you can attend OR even though you attend a phonics training you are still not confident about training up a child to actually read, here we will be training you step by step, assessing your understanding, asking you to implement what has been trained at every step, hand holding you along your journey, such that at the end of the three weeks (or more) you are confidently and successfully practicing what you have learnt. It is an amazing journey to see a child read fluently because of the phonetic method of reading.
